The Aims of the Society

1.     To promote Boer goat breeding in Zimbabwe

2.     To act in the interests of owners and prospective owners and keepers of the Boer Goats in                   Zimbabwe

3.     To establish, control and maintain an accurate breed register and breed standard;

4.     The distribution of brochures and the organising training to disperse knowledge regarding the             breed.

5.     The staging of auctions and the inspection of all animals offered on auctions under the auspices         of ZBGS.

6.     To organise a Zimbabwe Championship Show in order to show the best quality Boer goats.

7.     To develop marketing channels for goat meat from the producer through the abattoir and chain           stores to the consumer                   

8.     The society shall consist of such owners and prospective owners without limitation as to                       numbers with the common interest in the promotion of the Boer Goat breed.
